The Sidhe Dragon Queen
I created this image with the idea of a faerie riding on a dragon. I created the dragon in a few different colours because I wanted it have the look of power and strength, as well as honour and integrity. You can see the fiery temper in the dragon, but there is an inner knowing that resides in this supernatural being, as well as the Sidhe Queen. This Sidhe Queen has a strong connection to dragons and fire, as you can see with her fire red hair. Sidhe in Gaelic means "people of the mounds". In Irish gaelic they are referred to as "daoine sídhe" and in Scottish Gaelic "daoine sìth" or "daoine sìdh". They live underground in faerie mounds, in an invisible world that coexists with the human world. Created with colour pencil, pen, and watercolour. Buy a Print
